Magazine Cover

Image
In todays lesson, I designed the magazine cover for our trailer. I decided on the background of a silhouette of someone standing at the top of the stairs entering a basement, I chose this image because it resembles the overall idea of our trailer as the basement is the main location where it is filmed. The overall green effect of the image is to link it back to the CCTV camera but the main image and a few other features of the cover were found on Google images until we replace them with images we've taken. I also used the "empire" logo which I took inspiration from as its a film magazine.  I also included advertisements such as "Exclusive interview with the director & cast from the newest film Don't go there" and " Exclusive inside 100 greatest films of all time" to attract the reader into reading the magazine. As this is just temporary cover until we replace the images it will then look more like a magazine that features our trailer. ...

Movie Poster

Image
Poster progress In todays lesson we started putting together ideas of what me and my partner would want to see on our movie poster. We chose to include features of what our trailer has in it such as the doll being held by someone, the overall CCTV effect as thats the overall appearance of our trailer. I decided to make the doll the focus of the movie poster as it is a key element in our trailer and I thought I would do the cover in a CCTV effect being green and grainy as in our trailer, we incorporate a CCTV camera. The images we used we found online to create an overall idea but we will replace later on with images from our trailer. The title and slogan "some doors should never be opened" gives an insight to the audience of what the trailer is about.

Editing of trailer

Image
In todays lesson, I was able to create the beginning of my trailer on Premier Pro which consisted of an establishing shot and a conversation. This screenshot shows the different elements of editing the footage by zooming in and out of the sequence it allowed me to cut the clips correctly. In this screenshot, it shows in more detail what is in my trailer including video and audio effects which helped the trailer to run more smoothly. Next week we are planning to record more footage to continue editing our trailer.
