New Screenplay

Don’t Go There Screenplay by Anaia McCahey-Wilson And Maisie Robinson-Daugirda INT. IN THE NEW HOUSE – DAY A family has recently moved into a new house with boxes scattered around the house with a removal van waiting outside. Friends helping unpack and someone asks where something is. Walking into the house: PERSON 2 I’m glad you’re not moving school as well as homes. PERSON 1 Oh I couldn’t move school as well. PERSON 3 This looks like a really nice home. PERSON 1 Yeah, I love it already! Unpacking boxes: PERSON 1 Where are the cushions? PERSON 3 Over here, in this box. PERSON 1 Places cushions on the sofa. Second treatment

As we looked back to our treatment we noticed there were a few restrictions such as finding the abandoned house so we took it upon ourselves to watch a few paranormal horror films to get more inspiration such as  Paranormal Activity, The Conjuring and One Missed Call and we realised that these films are set in normal houses yet are still scary. Therefore we have changed the setting of our trailer to be in a normal house but still keep the same plot near enough. We are also thinking of adding a basement scene where most of the scary, paranormal things happen. In the basement is where the characters will find the old TV screen under a dust sheet and see their friend that is trapped in another room. In the room that the friend is trapped in, we will film that bit from a high angle to resemble a CCTV camera. In addition to this, I think it would be a good idea to add a doll or something creepy looking in the trapped room and it will have a curse on it ...
